CHOOSING YOUR PLASTIC SURGEON
It is well worth your while to do a few simple steps before choosing your Plastic Surgeon. You should make sure that he is Board Certified by THE AMERICAN BOARD OF PLASTIC SURGERY. If a doctor says that he is “Board Certified” but doesn’t specify the Plastic Surgery Board, you can be pretty sure that they are not properly trained. You should ask your personal physician for a recommendation. Last but not least you should find out your prospective surgeon’s reputation in the community. When you go for a consultation, ask your surgeon if he performs the procedure you desire regularly. As a leader in the South Jersey Plastic Surgery Community, I encourage my patients to ask questions about their upcoming procedures. As the Director of the Plastic Surgery Departments of both Shore Memorial Hospital and Atlantic Regional Medical Center, I am responsible for maintaining the quality of all of the Plastic Surgery performed in the area hospitals.
